I am a photographer who takes a photojournalistic & artistic approach to capturing the joys of your life! I focus mostly on families (including pets!) and children at every stage of life. Most clients choose to have their session in natural environments like local forest preserves, parks, trails, and unique locations. I can also discuss indoor locations with you.
As a child, I loved looking through photos and slides at my grandparents' houses. I now love to capture moments for myself and others, knowing that someone will enjoy these pictures today and someone else many years from now.
Also as a child, I fell in love with cameras and with taking pictures. LOTS of pictures. Recently, my parents found one of my early photographic endeavors: a 1984 picture (I am not kidding) of my two smiling Cabbage Patch dolls. Now, I've moved beyond "still-life" into real life.
Following events as they unfold, I feel that I capture the natural emotion of each moment. While my subjects stop to smile and are even posed at times, much of my sessions are spent playing, running, climbing trees, hiking, and flying kites. No matter what, I do my best to capture what you love...your joys!
By the way, I don't end up IN many pictures...the amazing Amy Tripple of Amy Tripple Photography took this one. She is an incredible photographer and mentor!
